At the age of 6 yrs old, Trey Gilleland received his first guitar from his grandmother and fell in love with learning how to play. His grandmother said, "Now Trey, I want you to learn how to play this guitar and become a Country Music Singer!" Trey loved his grandmother so much, he listened to her and that is exactly why he is where he is today.
His passion for entertaining and singing brings high energy to the stage. Trey has been playing Dance Halls and Honky Tonks since he was 15 yrs old. He became a Nashville Recording Artist at the age of 16. The Trey Gilleland Band was formed after Trey walked into his hometown music store and said how he was serious about Country Music
Trey has many famous fans that are well known in the Music Industry and have helped him along the way, Leona Williams (Former wife of Merle Haggard), TG Shephard, Ronnie Millsap, Sonny Throckmorton, Glen Collins, Marshall Jarvis, MC1 Recording, Big Machine, and his producer John Heinrich. Trey has Newspaper articles written about his career and sudden rise to the Nashville Country Music Scene and lots of publicity within the United States. The Venues he has played in the past always invite him back. They love how the crowd interacts with Trey and his band and the energy he brings to the stage.
